Step 1: Get a Website

I know I had said that I was going to write about PTC sites and my experiance with them, and I plan to still in the future as I learn more about them.

For right now, I want to share some other tid-bits I have learned.

The biggest thing I have learned a person needs to make money online it to have your own website. You can use a blog, similar to this one, but the free blog sites tend to have ToS (Terms of Service) that restrict how much promotion you can do there.

There are several places you can build your own free website, like Yola.com or Weebly.com
You can pay for your own domain name and hire someone to create and maintain your website, and there are tons of very honest and talented people out there. My Dad is an excellent graphic artist, as is my sister, and that is what they do for a company for a living.

My recommendation, which is too expensive for me right now, but I plan on getting it in the future for continued growth and expansion, is SiteBuildIt! ($29.99/month) They have tons of online assistance, they have all the tools you could ever need to build your website however you want, they deal with all the hosting and domains and everything. They are an all-in-one service and I think they are the best out there, at least that I have found.

Yes, if you shop around, you can very likely find things cheaper and piece together from all the various services everything you could possibly need and want. But you have to keep track of everything and it can be a real hassel. If you're good with attention to detail, awesome! I'm not.

I like to have everything all in one place and all laid out for me, with step-by-step instructions. But I also like to have control over all my content and be able to take care of things myself, instead of waiting for someone else to be able to take care of it. SiteBuildIt! gives me the tools I need to be able to take care of everything on my own, but still keep everything all in one place and organised for me.

PTC Sites-Legit or Scam? COMING SOON

I haven't been around here lately because I have been investigating PTC, or Pay To Click, sites. I'm working on compiling my information and experiences into a good article that will be part of my eBook I working on, or may even become an eBook in its own right. Stay-tuned for more updates!

Who Said Chain-Letters Are Dead?

I'd like to think that most of us who were born in the previous millennium remember snail-mail chain letters. You get one in the mail and it goes something like this: Dear friend, Please make 500 copies of this letter, putting your name at the top of the list and taking the last name off the list. Then mail out the letter to your 500 closest friends, or buy a mailing list from MyCompanyMailingLists for ridiculous amounts of money. Then send $1 to each person on the original list you received, with a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) and a note requesting to be put on their mailing list. They will then send you a copy of the newsletter. DON'T THROW IT AWAY! You can use it to make copies for yourself to send out later. Now, how does this work? You send out to 500 people and only 5 decide to follow thru. You get $5 and mail out 5 letters. They bump your name down the list mail out 500 of letter 1 and get back 5 each. Rinse and repeat. And so you get Mail out 500, get 1% back, tier 1=$5 5 people mail out 5x500 and get back 5 each = $25 Those 25 get back 5 each = $125 125x5 more = $625 625x5 more = $3,125 3,125x5=$15,625 15,625x5=$78,125 Grand total back to you: $97,655 Now, what does any of that have to do with working at home? A concept that is new to me called Viral Marketing. It works in the same manner, bumping people down a list with your name on the top and drives traffic to your site. It's a form of traffic exchange, in exchange for passing around your referral link, you and everyone on the list gets traffic, and then everyone who signs up after you also gets traffic. One site I've tried out is http://vtrafficrush.com/?rush=amccordford vTrafficRush has a free option, an upgrade option, plus a grid game where you can win a tiny amount of cash, if you're lucky. There's just these few bells and whistles, plus they have a few premade banners and ads you can use. Another site that is also free is http://www.fwebtraffic.com/?rid=1346505 The 6 Links gives you a text ad and a link to your site of choice, which you can easily change. Plain, simple, and straight forward, with a selection of banners and email ads for you. One more site, which I have not signed up for yet, harkens back even more to the chain-letters of "old". http://www.dollarsflip.com DollarsFlip is still brand-spanking-new and you can get your place at the very top for minimal pay out right now. In this case, you would also pay $5 for each person already on the list. Then, as you and your downline advertise the site, that $5 per referral comes straight back to you. Well, I hope I've given you a little insight into the things I've been learning about. There is tons of information out there about marketing anything and everything to anyone and everyone. Stay tuned to read more about what I learn as I go thru this adventure of learning how to work from home and make money.

Article Writing Like a Bum

I just came across another site filled with suggestions on how to make money writing articles. I'm not one for much writing (then why do I have a blog? To make money of course!) but I think even I can do this. Normally, one would promote the capture page www.bummarketing.com but I'm just going to skip the mailing list and give you, my readers, the direct link to the eCourse http://www.bummarketingmethod.com/Article_Marketing.html I'm sure there's a lot of other opportunities that are promoted thru the mailing list you normally have to opt in to, but I'm just saving you the hassle here of having to sift thru the hype. I have gotten a bunch of links to online classifieds in my bookmarks so I can start posting my links and promoting some of my links and things.

IBOToolbox

A new site that I just recently came across that has me excited is IBOToolbox. While this site won't directly put money in my pocket, it does give me place to promote any business opportunity I like as well as a place for me to shop around for other potential income sources. I'd say the interface is a little confusing at first, but I got used to it pretty quick. Also this seems like a great place to pick the brains of some of the better marketers out there on how they gained their success. I think this is what ISM Magic will hopefully be in the future. I like ISM Magic better for it's cleaner look and the fact that one can easily earn money from the site for doing all the same things you would be doing at IBOToolbox.

Freebie Trading

By far, my favorite online money-maker has to be freebie trading. I've met some of the nicest people, made some new friends and business connections (which is critical in online marketing) gotten loads of neat products and services PLUS got paid for all of it! Payments have always been super fast, usually within minutes. There are several ways to learn more about Freebie Trading, especially the website I'm working on getting developed (shameless plug!) but since it's not ready yet, here are a few more sources for you to investigate on your own. If you have any questions about these at all, just leave me a comment and I'll try to answer it as soon as possible! Project PayDay The Freebie eXchange Offer Trading Market

So Much to Talk About!

There are a bunch of different opportunities I'm involved in right now that I want to give proper time and blog space, but as a stay at home mother of 4 girls, ages 4 and under, I am short on time! I'm always looking for opportunities for passive income, social interaction, and little or better NO cost. I have found a couple of things that I'm hoping to share with you, my audience, as time goes on. Right now I'm just going to share a couple highlights: ISM Magic Earn money for talking about anything! JSS Tripler This does cost $10 once, but the residual potential becomes enormous! Last one: The Freebie eXchange This one takes some work and some knowledge, which is easily obtained from the super duper friendly people involved (myself included of course), but the income potential is huge! There are several people here that are a huge inspiration. Okay, this has taken longer than I thought, as usual, so I need to run, get lunch, put DD2 down for her nap, and then think about and maybe do something about the dishes. :D
